Sometimes people reach a point in their creative practice where they’ve either got too many ideas or not enough. As a mentor, I provide an objective and listening ear so that clients can explore how they want their practice to develop. I hold an MA in Contemporary Crafts and have a multi-disciplinary approach to my own work so am able to signpost current methodologies and practitioners which may be of assistance to mentees.
I also work with individuals who are working towards craft business start ups, offering practical advice on everything from branding and social media platforms to content writing and search engine optimisation. My aim is to offer support that empowers and enables individuals to decide their own paths and take ownership of every aspect of their activity.
I am currently writing a book which will act as a resource for creative practitioners who want to take a less commercial approach to their activities. More Than A Hobby – a guide to low income, high value creative practice should be available to buy in 2021 but this year, I’ll be putting extracts on this page.
