Personal Statement

Until recently I described myself as a Textile Artist inspired by the legend, landscape and people of Wales but as my practice has developed I find that the label Textile Artist doesn’t reflect all of the other bits and pieces that I find myself doing eg – mixed media, sketching, collage.  Now I say I am inspired by the legend, landscape and people of Wales.  I am also an explorer of tracks and trails, sometimes in a physical landscape but sometimes over creative ground.  As a maker of maps I seek to record these journeys both as a personal point of reference but also as a guide for other travellers.
